Only papers not published and not being considered for publication elsewhere may be submitted. The South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) holds the copyright for the publication of papers. However, copyright shall revert to the author unless within three (3) months after the date set for the symposium or at any date prior thereto the Institute has published the papers in any form or negotiated an extended period with the author for any such publication. Where authors would like to have written proof of re-assignment of copyright they may apply to the Institute.
No material in which the Institute holds copyright may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, magnetic tape, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise without permission in writing from the SAIEE secretariat. Notwithstanding the foregoing permission is not required to make abstracts on condition that a full reference to the source is shown. Single copies of any material in which the organisers hold copyright may be made for research or private purposes without reference to the Institute.
Submittors of material for the Symposium are reminded that all submissions are made subject to the By-Laws of the Institute which are available from the Secretary.
