The Activity code is a “Picture Code” which gives some basic information about the activity. This is shown below:
Example 1
SAIEE-0003-V has the following meaning:
SAIEE: The abbreviation of the Voluntary Association’s name "South African Institute of Electrical Engineers".
0003: The third activity in the sequence.
V: Indicates a Validated activity that has been through the entire validation process.
Example 2 SAIEE-0003-S is basically the same as above except that:
S: Instead of V means a Special activity set up by the Institute HQ or Centres without the full validation process.
eg A lecture for a monthly meeting or a special prestige lecture like the President’s Invitation or Bernard Price Memorial lectures set up and approved by an internal SAIEE committee.
Note: CPD Codes are issued as soon as the activity is submitted for validation; they are only uploaded to the ECSA and SAIEE website when the activity has been validated and approved by the CPD Committee.
