Vaal University of Technology and the SAIEE cordially invite you to participate in the 2016 Southern African Universities Power Engineering Conference (SAUPEC). This conference will bring together practicing engineers, academics, students and others with an interest in electrical power and energy. It is an established forum for the interaction of professionals and students in power engineering and related fields in Southern Africa. It provides a good opportunity for students to present their research work and exchange ideas with top researchers in their fields. As in the past, the conference will incorporate the Eskom TESP report back meeting.

Full Papers

Papers (maximum length 6 pages) must be prepared in accordance with the SAUPEC template, available on the website — All papers will be peer-reviewed and prizes will be awarded for the best student papers.

Paper Acceptance

Authors will be notified via email by the 10 December 2015 as to the acceptance of their paper. At least one author of each paper MUST register for the conference and pay the full fees by 6th January 2016. Presentation of an accepted paper is a requirement for a publication in the proceedings of the conference.
