SAIEE SIGNS MOU WITH TAYLOR & FRANCIS GROUP

On 8 October 2024, a delegation from Taylor & Francis (T&F) met virtually with the SAIEE to sign a memorandum of understanding, fusing the two entities into a mutually beneficial agreement that will significantly benefit all SAIEE members.

T&F is an international publisher of academic books and journals, publishing under various imprints, including Taylor & Francis and Routledge. They are one of the world's leading academic publishers committed to the highest quality scholarly publishing for over 200 years. Their priorities as a scholarly publisher align with the SAIEE’s members being engaged professionally in academic research and professional consultancy, manufacturing, electronics, communications, power engineering, etc. T&F aims to bring their content expertise in electrical engineering to encourage scholarly authorship from the SAIEE members.

This agreement encourages SAIEE members to submit their own white papers, which the SAIEE will consolidate into a book and send to T&F annually.

T&F will review the compilation annually and, if it considers the papers suitable for publication, send it out for peer review, which they then shall, at its sole discretion, decide whether to publish any of the submitted papers.

Based on the peer-reviewed papers, T&F will include it in technical books, professional books, monographs, textbooks, and handbooks of interest to a scientific audience.

Before T&F publishes any of the SAIEE authors' papers, it will enter into a publishing agreement directly with the author, which will remunerate the author.
