[IN-HOUSE] Planning Strategic Feasibility Studies

With rapid changes in technology and increasing complexity in IR 4.0, strong multi-disciplinary planning skills are required for today’s engineering professionals. This programme will infuse strategic planning, and market understanding in an engineer’s practice to enable one to work beyond the regular call of specialised engineering practice, and progress to working on master-plans, feasibility studies, due diligence and fatal flaw analysis. Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will develop skill sets in the following areas:
• Understanding of market requirements, identifying opportunities and translate to projects.
• Understanding of the Project development cycle from idea formation to engineering design and operations.
• Specific Strategic tools used to deliver objectives.
• Be a part of, guide and or lead a multi-disciplinary (Feasibility) Study team.
• Specific Skills gained in planning feasibility studies:
• Plan, Prepare and analyze feasibility studies.
• Identify core arguments and effectively explore the various assumptions.
• Present ideas in a simple, effective, convincing and objective manner.
• Build all aspects together in a feasibility study financial model using various tools.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to improve plans and projections.
• Analyze and review other feasibility studies, and identify its merits and shortcomings.

The approach will include power point presentations, engagement, and discussion among all participants (learners and instructors) to ingrain collaborative thinking and teamwork, and real-life case studies
