On the 7th November 2023, the PES hosted a panel discussion titled The Transition to Renewables – Lessons from Australia. This event was also used as a relaunch of the all-important Power and Energy Section.
The panel discussion set the tone for the year 2024 in terms of the kind and quality of activities that can be expected in 2024.
Some of the key points to be noted for 2024:
· PES monthly meetings will resume and the schedule for the year is attached at the end of this article.
· ALL SAIEE Chapters must send a representative to give Chapter feedback to the PES.
· We are opening doors for contributions from industry for all things Power and Energy in all forms.
· We will provide a platform for the industry in a manner that is balanced and unbiased towards certain views.
· We call upon participants from
o Industry
o Academia
o Utilities
o Private and public sectors
o Regulators / Standards bodies
We are looking for volunteers to play the part on the following positions;
- Vice Chairman
- Secretariat
- Collaborations
- Marketing
- YouTube updates
