SAIEE Charged Rewards Programme

Aims and Goals:

  • Aims to increase the level of engagement of SAIEE members through volunteerism[1]
  • Rewards points for qualifying volunteer work
  • Allows accumulated points to be redeemed for services that ordinarily require payment
  • Only bona fide[2] members qualify
  • Points will be awarded for SAIEE volunteer work
  • The program must not result in multiple awards of points for the same effort
  • SAIEE employees and Office Bearers will accumulate points for qualifying SAIEE activities done during their official duties
  • Points not redeemed within 5 years will expire

[1]Volunteerism: SAIEE activity where the member is not remunerated in any form by the Institute

[2]Bona fide: Registered as a current member according to the administrative rules of the Institute, e.g. not an applicant, not struck off.

  • Council: 10 x 10 = 100
  • Council committees: 2 x 10 x 10 = 200
  • Flagship events: 3 x 25 = 75
