About us
The Mangosuthu University of Technology is one of the most recognised universities of technology in KZN, specialising in engineering.
The SAIEE MUT STUDENT CHAPTER is a group of students from the Electrical Engineering Department, affiliated with the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE). The SAIEE is a dynamic community of aspiring electrical engineering professionals. What we do:
At the MUT SAIEE STUDENT CHAPTER, we care and believe in enriching and empowering young engineers and fostering growth in the field of engineering. We organise a range of activities to improve our members' understanding of and academic knowledge of their professional journeys. Our typical calendar includes:
- Launch event: We do events such as opening events for students, awareness events, engaging events and industry-related events through partnerships with industry experts and organisations. We host events that delve into current trends, innovations, and challenges in electrical engineering.
- Project-related: community project, school project and awareness project.
- Fun activity:hosting games, fun competition, and fun out camping.
- Year-end reflection: Thanksgiving, celebrate our achievements, and reflect on our experiences.
